Abstract
Vibration in machinery can be something that interferes with or reduces the performance of the machine itself. For this reason, it is necessary to analyze the tool with the aim of obtaining vibration test equipment that meets the standards for practicum in the laboratory. To determine the comparison of the muffled free vibration response theoretically and experimentally. To find out the difference in the value or parameters of muffled free vibrations theoretically and experimentally. This research method is carried out by comparing the measurement results with theory. From the results of the practicum, it can be seen that there are a lot of frequency values, periods and constants of the test spring do not match the results of theoretical calculations, the error of numbers is too far away so that it can be tolerated, but the theoretical test values are very far which can be seen from the theoretical tables and experimental results contained in the oscillation paper. One example for experimental personal frequency results is 0.241Hz while for theoretical personal frequency results the results obtained if the mass is 0.25kg and the spring constant is 22.27N/m i.e. 1.5Hz, this error is very far but the calculation results are correct. . In addition to the error on the personal frequency, the spring error can also be seen in the test using the spring constant (k) from the calculation that does not match the actual value of the spring constant, the actual value of the spring constant is 22.27N/m.
