Abstract

Milla Tunnisa, 41182911160059, "EFFORTS OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TEACHERS IN OVERCOMING DIFFICULTIES IN LEARNING TO READ THE QUR'AN" (Qualitative Study at SMPN 08 Cibitung – Bekasi Regency) Islamic Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Islamic University "45" Bekasi, 2023. The purpose of the study was to determine the efforts of Islamic religious education teachers in overcoming difficulties in learning to read the Qur'an at SMPN 8 Cibitung and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors of Islamic religious education teachers' efforts in overcoming difficulties in learning to read the Qur'an at SMPN 8 Cibitung. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques through observation methods, interview methods and documentation methods. Then to check the validity of the data using observation diligence, triangulation and checking members. The results of research that have been carried out show that the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMPN 8 Cibitung in overcoming difficulties in learning to read the Qur'an in students can be said to be sufficient. There are several efforts that Islamic Religious Education teachers make in overcoming the difficulties of learning to read the Qur'an students, namely providing motivation that builds students to continue to be enthusiastic about learning to read the Qur'an, increasing learning hours outside school hours, teachers suggest to parents to have a special (private) teacher, continue to recite before being able to read the Qur'an fluently or properly and correctly, habituation of murojaah or repeating readings and giving assignments or homework (homework) by memorizing letters in the Qur'an in the hope that it can encourage students' ability to read the Qur'an.
