Abstract

Technology in the field of telecommunications greatly facilitates communicating over long distances. One of the methods used to measure the quality of telecommunications networks on mobile telecommunications equipment is the Drive Test. At first, it was carried out using a laptop, GPS module and mobile phone simultaneously. Now, the acquisition of data related to the quality of the intended network is carried out using a smartphone device. Even so, data processing and analysis of Drive Test data still uses a computer. The type of smartphone that is most widely used today is Android. This study aims to create an android smartphone application that can retrieve Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) data, and process the Drive Test data, into an average value, maximum value and minimum value. This value will be compared with the value obtained using the Net Monitor application, which is processed by a computer. From data collection for three sessions, the created application produces an average value of -93.38 dBm, a minimum value of -103.444 dBm, and a maximum value of -82.07 dBm. The application created has an accuracy of 99.45% against the Net Monitor. The created application use less battery electrical energy.
