Abstract

ABSTRACT Achmad Irfan, NPM: 41182191150001, The relationship between speed and balance with Pencak Silat sickle kick speed. Thesis. Penjaskesrek Department. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Islamic University "45" Bekasi. The problems in this study are: (1) Is there a partial relationship between speed and the ability of pencak silat sickle kicks? (2) Is there a partial relationship between balance and the ability of pencak silat sickle kicks? (3). Is there a linear relationship between speed and balance on the ability of pencak silat sickle kicks? The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) whether there is a partial relationship between speed and the ability of pencak silat sickle kicks; (2) what is the partial relationship between balance and the ability of pencak silat sickle kicks; (3) Is there a linear relationship between speed and balance on the ability of pencak silat sickle kicks? The population and sample in this study amounted to 20 students. sampling technique with total sampling. The results of the data analysis obtained a correlation coefficient (rx1y) of --0.609 with a value of R2 = 0.371, significant at 5% alpha, the magnitude of the relationship between speed and the speed of the pencak silat sickle kick, amounting to 37%. The correlation coefficient (rx2y) is 0.648 with a value of R2 = 0.421, significant at an alpha of 5%, the magnitude of the relationship between balance and the speed of the pencak silat sickle kick is 42%. The correlation coefficient (rx12y) is 0.801 and R2 = 0.642. The significance test of the multiple correlation coefficients using the F test obtained Fcount = 15.23 > Ftable = 3.59, with an alpha of 5%, the magnitude of the relationship between strength, speed and balance together with the speed of the kick sickle of pencak silat in pencak silat athletes in Tangerang City, is 64 %.
