Abstract
Genset is an acronym for the word generator set that is a machine or device consisting of a power plant (generator) with a driving machine arranged into a single unit to produce an electric power with a certain amount. Base plate is one of the vital components supporting engine performance. Therefore it must have a strong frame to withstand the burden of the generator. But not only the load that must be held by the base plate, besides having a engine load also produces vibrations. Vibration on a machine is a very important thing to pay attention because of a vibration arises a lot of errors and damage the components of the machine. With the selection of appropriate tools and materials, it can produce good and quality base plate. The study was conducted to test the magnitude of the scrapes that occur in the base plate and generator using a vibration meter measuring device. Keyword : Base Plate, Generator, mechanical vibration
