Abstract
ABSTRACT The background of this writing is that the implementation of the village head's leadership in the physical development program has been well implemented, so that the physical development programs can be carried out properly. Based on this, the authors are interested in doing in-depth research with the title: "Village Head Leadership in Physical Development in Sukadanau Village, West Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency". The theory used in this study uses Siagian's theory (2003: 47), namely five indicators that must be owned by a leader in an organization. The research method used is descriptive method, namely a method that seeks to obtain information about the description of the situation at the time the research took place. Based on the results of the discussion, it is known that the Village Head's leadership in physical development in Sukadanau Village, West Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, namely producing a percentage of 76.56% which according to Idrus has a good value. This can be seen from the various indicators that must be owned by a leader in an organization, such as a direction marker who has a percentage of 80.59% which according to Idrus has a very good value, an organizational spokesperson who has a percentage of 73.88% which according to Idrus has a good value, an effective communicator who has a percentage of 767.86% which according to Idrus has a fairly good value, a reliable mediator who has a percentage of 67.75% who according to Idrus has a fairly good value, and an effective integrator who has a percentage of 86.16% who according to Idrus have very good value. The obstacles faced by the Village Head in physical development, namely the village head's weak communication related to increasing physical development with the BPD and the community, lack of consultation and finding alternative solutions to problems in implementing physical development programs, and the appreciation given by the Head of Sukadanau Village to there are no outstanding employees and society. Efforts made by the Head of Sukadanau Village to overcome this problem are communicating related to increasing physical development with BPD and the community, conducting consultations and seeking alternative solutions to problems in implementing physical development programs, and giving awards to employees and communities who excel.
