Abstract

ABSTRACT Fathullah, NIM : 41182911160112. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF UMMI METHOD TO INCREASE READING QURANIC SKILLS (a qualitative study at SMP IT Attaqwa Babelan Bekasi) UNIVERSITAS ISLAM “45” BEKASI (2022 M/1443 H). (123 pages). The study is being intended to learn and to know implementing method of Ummi in improving the quranic reading skills and to know the supporting factors and obstacles in using the method to improve the skills themselves at Sekolah Menengah Pertama Islam Terpadu Attaqwa Babelan Bekasi.. This research is a qualitative one by phenomenological approach. The researcher’s presence in the place of research is a key instrument in data collection. The place of research is located in Sekolah Menengah Pertama Islam Terpadu Attaqwa Babelan Bekasi. The data source of research is divided into three sections those are people, places, and papers. The technical of data collection used is by observing, interviews and documentations. The technical of data analysis used is by data reduction, data presentation and drawing a conclusion. The checking of data validity on this research includes the time extension of observation, perseverance improvement, and triangulation. The result of this research showed that the preparation stage of implementing the method of Ummi at Sekolah Menengah Pertama Islam Terpadu Attaqwa Babelan Bekasi is that there was a perception equalization that being a teacher is to pass the grade of Ummi certificates, things done inside the class included organizing teachers’ and students’ desks and made them look like a “U” letter shape, the instruments used, and the study books of Ummi, students brought their achievement books. The process of implementing method of Ummi at Sekolah Menengah Pertama Islam Terpadu Attaqwa Babelan Bekasi was an opening (greetings, saying hello, praying), the memorization of short verses of Qur’an was on target, Classical (instruments), (individually, reading a look at, reading a look at natively), closing (drills and closing prayer). The study used individual approach, individual classical approach, reading a look at classical approach, reading a look at classical approach natively. The result of implementing method of Ummi at Sekolah Menengah Pertama Islam Terpadu Attaqwa Babelan Bekasi, the students gained some improvement and development of Quranic reading skills, tahfidz Juz 30 and were then included in The Munaqosah and Qur’an graduation ceremony. Many students had memorized short verses of Qur’an, and also the students had achieved some improvements of good verses saying, tajweed, makhraj, and improved fluency of reading.
