Abstract

Traditional sports serve as a local wisdom-based learning medium with the potential to shape the character of elementary school students. One such traditional sport, rich in character values, is Jemparingan, a traditional archery art originating from Yogyakarta. This community service activity aims to implement Jemparingan as an effort to improve the discipline and responsibility of elementary school students. The targets of this activity were fifth-grade students of SDN Muktiwari 02, Bekasi Regency, along with teachers as activity mentors. The implementation methods included partner site surveys, data collection, socialization, basic technique training, sport implementation, and evaluation. The results indicated that the application of Jemparingan effectively increased students' discipline in adhering to sports rules and punctuality. Furthermore, it enhanced students' responsibility in maintaining equipment, following instructions, and completing tasks thoroughly. In conclusion, Jemparingan can be utilized as an alternative learning activity and a supporting element for the Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) in elementary schools.
