Abstract

Religiosity is an essential aspect in shaping students' character in the modern era, which is full of value and cultural challenges. The declining level of religiosity among high school students in Tambun Selatan District necessitates research to identify the influencing factors. The low level of religiosity among students in senior high schools across Tambun Selatan District highlights the need to analyze the psychological factors that influence it. This study aims to examine: (1) the relationship between self-efficacy and students' religiosity, (2) the relationship between conative ability and students' religiosity, and (3) the relationship between self-efficacy and conative ability collectively with the religiosity of senior high school students in Tambun Selatan District, Bekasi Regency, Academic Year 2024/2025. This research employed a quantitative correlational method. The sampling technique used was random sampling, with a total sample of 389 students. Data were collected through validated Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS 27 for Windows through correlation, determination, simple regression, and multiple regression tests. The results showed that: (1) there was a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and religiosity with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.612, a determination contribution of 37,4%, and a regression equation of Y = 105.549 + 0,580 X1 (p-value = 0.000 < 0.05). (2) There was a significant positive relationship between conative ability and religiosity with r = 0,776, determination contribution of 60,3% , and regression equation Y = 92.328 + 0.686 X₂ (p-value = 0.000 < 0.05). (3) Simultaneously, self-efficacy and conative ability had a significant positive relationship with religiosity, with r = 0.998, r² = 99.5%, and regression equation Y = 1.459 + 0,594 X₁ + 1. 0.696 X₂. The F-test value was 41593,956 with a p-value = 0.000 < 0.05. Based on these findings, the study recommends the development of self-efficacy and strengthening of conative ability as strategic efforts to improve religiosity among high school students.
