Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the development orientation of Ma’had Tahfidz Bina Santri in Bekasi City, covering the goals of tahfidz education, the orientation of Qur’an memorization methods, and the management of tahfidz programs for students who also attend formal schools. The focus of the study is directed at institutional goals, memorization learning practices, and the formation of Qur’anic character among students. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach conducted at Ma’had Tahfidz Bina Santri Bekasi. Data sources come from administrators, tahfidz teachers, and institutional documents. Data collection techniques include interviews, field observations, and document study. Data analysis is carried out through stages of data reduction, data display, and step-by-step conclusion drawing in a structured manner. The findings show that the institution’s development orientation is directed toward strong memorization quality, disciplined recitation deposits, continuous review sessions, and proper manners toward the Qur’an. The memorization methodology combines talaqqi, repetition, and periodic evaluation adjusted to student ability. The tahfidz program runs through structured scheduling, memorization targets, and active mentor supervision of student progress. Time management between tahfidz activities and formal schooling is arranged through daily schedule planning so that the learning process remains stable. The study concludes that the institution’s development orientation has clear direction in its goals, methods, and coaching system, which supports a systematic and sustainable tahfidz education process
