Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of Game-Like Situation Training on shooting skills in futsal among extracurricular students at SMP Negeri 8 Bekasi. The research focuses on improving students’ shooting skills through the application of training methods that simulate real game situations. This study employed a quasi-experimental method using a pretest–posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 20 students selected through a saturated sampling technique and divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group received Game-Like Situation Training, while the control group was given conventional training. Shooting skills were measured using the Modified Target Shooting Test (MTST). Data analysis included normality testing, homogeneity testing, and t-testing with a significance level of 0.05, as well as effect size calculation using Cohen’s d. The results showed a significance value of < 0.05, indicating a significant effect of Game-Like Situation Training on students’ shooting skills. Furthermore, the effect size was categorized as very large, leading to the conclusion that Game-Like Situation Training is significantly effective in improving futsal shooting skills among extracurricular students at SMP Negeri 8 Bekasi.
