Abstract

This research aims to explore the stages of planning and implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in developing student independence and creativity within Islamic Religious Education learning at SMAN 1 Tambun Selatan. The study is motivated by the fact that Islamic Religious Education learning tends to emphasize theoretical knowledge, leaving students’ potential for independence and creativity underdeveloped. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. To ensure data validity, the researcher compared information obtained from various sources. Data analysis was carried out using an interactive analysis model, which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. He findings reveal that the implementation of the P5 project was designed in a structured and effective manner by forming a facilitator team, determining dimensions and themes, allocating time, and designing modules to support the project’s execution. Furthermore, the implementation phase of this project proved successful in fostering student independence and creativity in Islamic Religious Education learning, particularly during the Panen Karya (showcase) activity, which provided students with opportunities to work independently, express creative ideas, and reinforce Islamic values.
