Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between managerial ability and integrity with teacher performance in public and private elementary schools throughout Palmerah Subdistrict, West Jakarta. Teacher performance is a key factor in improving the quality of education and is influenced by various aspects, including managerial skills in managing the learning process and personal integrity in carrying out professional duties. This research employed a quantitative method, with a sample of 248 teachers from 39 schools as questionnaire respondents. The sampling technique used was random sampling with the Slovin formula. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Data were collected and analyzed using simple and multiple regression. The results of testing three hypotheses showed a positive and significant joint relationship between managerial ability and integrity with teacher performance, with an R² (R Square) value of 0.798 or 79.8%. This indicates that the combined contribution of managerial ability and integrity to teacher performance is 79.8%, and the strength of the correlation is shown by an Fcount of 483.179, while the Ftable value is 3.032. Thus, it can be concluded that Fcount > Ftable = 483.179 > 3.032, meaning there is a positive and significant relationship between managerial ability and integrity with teacher performance. These findings indicate that the higher the level of managerial skills and integrity possessed by teachers, the better their performance. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of enhancing managerial competence and fostering integrity values in efforts to improve teacher professionalism.
