Abstract

Motorcycles are popular vehicles in Indonesia, but many riders still don't understand the importance of maintaining the components of their motorcycle, one of which is disc brakes. Facts from Korlantas Polri, many cases of accidents caused by damaged motorcycle disc brakes occurred during 2018 based on the condition of the vehicle, the biggest cause being a failure of the brake system. The number of incidents has even increased by 32 percent. This study aims to determine the amount of braking force, brake lining pressure and the age of disc brake linings on motorcycles. By achieving the goal, it will help to know the safety of disc brakes on motorbikes. The step taken is to find the required vehicle data on the disc brake braking component, then input the data that has been obtained into the formula that has been obtained from a trusted reference.
