Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between social support and self-compassion with social anxiety among adolescents. Social anxiety is a common psychological issue during adolescence that may affect social functioning and emotional well-being. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 259 adolescents in Tambun Selatan, selected using convenience sampling. Research instruments included scales measuring social support, self-compassion, and social anxiety. Data were analyzed using Spearman correlation and multiple linear regression. The results showed a significant negative relationship between social support and social anxiety, as well as between self-compassion and social anxiety. Furthermore, social support and self-compassion were found to be significantly associated with social anxiety when analyzed simultaneously.
