Abstract

Bullying can occur in formal educational environments such as Boarding School. In 2023, the junior high school level is an educational institution where bullying frequently occurs, with a percentage of 50% compared to other educational levels. This research aims to determine whether there is an effect of assertive behavior and social support on perundungan victims among santri. The population of this study consists of 279 female santri from Boarding School X, and the sample used is 164 female santri. The sampling technique used in this research is stratified random sampling. The research method used is quantitative correlational approach. The instruments in this study used the Olweus Bully/Victim Questionnaire for the victimization scale with a reliability of 0.741, the Rathus Assertiveness Schedule for the assertive behavior scale with a reliability of 0.712, and a social support scale that the researcher created based on Sarafino's theory with a reliability of 0.708. The results of the study indicate that there is a weak negative relationship between assertive behavior and victimization (r= -0.168; p< 0.032). Likewise, regarding social support and victimization, there is a weak negative correlation (r= -0.224; p< 0.004). In the impact test, assertive behavior and social support together have an effect on victimization with a percentage of influence of 6.6% (R2 = 0.066; F= 5.683; p< 0.004).
