Abstract
The background of this study was to determine the effect of flashcard media on the learning outcomes of third grade students at SD Bani Saleh III Bekasi Barat, especially in the subject of Natural Sciences (IPA). Flashcard media was chosen because it is thought to be able to create a contextual, interactive learning atmosphere, and encourage students to be actively involved in the process of solving real problems related to everyday life. The research method used is a quantitative method with a pre-experimental approach and a Pretest Posttest Design One Group research design. The subjects in this study were all third-grade students of Bani Saleh III Elementary School, West Bekasi, totaling 34 people, consisting of 12 male students and 22 female students. Data collection was carried out through a descriptive learning outcome test given before and after the application of flashcard media. The data analysis using a paired samples t test showed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes after implementing flashcard media, with a significance value of 0.000 (less than 0.05). The average pre test score was 20.8824, which rose significantly to 57.9412 on the post test. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that flashcard media has an effect when used in the science learning process at the elementary school level, particularly in enhancing learning outcomes.
