Abstract
ABSTRACT Islamic high schools (MA), vocational high schools (SMK), and senior high schools (SMA) have different curricula and objectives, although they are at the same level. Students from all three schools often experience self-doubt and difficulty planning for the future. This quantitative study involved 265 eleventh-grade students from all three schools (MA, vocational high schools, and SMA) using correlational and comparative approaches. Data were collected through interviews and psychological scales. The results showed a positive relationship between self-esteem (ρ = 0.282; p = 0.001) and self-efficacy (ρ = 0.528; p = 0.001) and future orientation. Self-efficacy contributed significantly (22.7%) compared to self-esteem (4.1%). There were significant differences in future orientation, self-esteem, and self-efficacy among the three types of schools (p = 0.000).
