Abstract

Adolescence is characterized by interest in the opposite sex or dating, which is often accompanied by violence. This study aims to improve assertive behavior in students who are victims of dating violence through assertiveness training. This quasi-experimental study used a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design with 40 female students from grades X and XI at SMK Yadika 13, selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used were the assertiveness scale (α = 0.931) and the dating violence scale (α = 0.936), both showing high reliability. The independent sample t-test showed no significant difference in the pretest (p = 0.299), but a significant difference in the posttest (p = 0.000). The paired t-test showed a significant increase in the experimental group (p = 0.000), proving that assertiveness training effectively improves assertive skills in students who are victims of violence.
