Abstract

ABSTRACT Everyone definitely wants a harmonious and ideal family. However, to create it, family members must carry out their respective duties. The father's role is not only as a financial provider. This research aims to determine the role and impact of the father's role in raising daughters. The subjects of this research were five women whose fathers had minimal role in emotional support. Subjects aged 20-30 years. The research method used is a qualitative method with a phenomenological study. The results found were that the subject received a minimal father role. The father's lack of involvement in parenting makes children reluctant, fearful and fearful of interacting with the father. It was also found that several parenting patterns were used by his father to discipline him. Keywords : Father's Role, Parenting, Daughter
