Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Work Discipline on Employee Performance through Job Satisfaction as a mediating variable at the Secretariat of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of Bekasi City. The population in this study consists of all employees at the Secretariat of the Civil Service Police Unit of Bekasi City. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with a saturated sampling approach. The research sample consists of 51 respondents. The research method employed in this study is quantitative. The data used are primary data, collected through the direct distribution of questionnaires by visiting the Secretariat of the Civil Service Police Unit of Bekasi City. The data were analyzed using the SEM-PLS method with the assistance of SmartPLS software version 4.1.0.9. The results of the study indicate that Work Discipline has a significant positive effect on Job Satisfaction, with a path coefficient value of 0.404, t-statistic of 3.124, and a p-value of 0.001. Job Satisfaction has a significant positive effect on Employee Performance, with a path coefficient value of 0.371, t-statistic of 2.907, and a p-value of 0.002. Furthermore, Work Discipline has a significant positive effect on Employee Performance, with a path coefficient value of 0.671, t-statistic of 9.463, and a p-value of 0.000. Job Satisfaction is able to mediate the effect of Work Discipline on Employee Performance, as indicated by a path coefficient value of 0.249, t-statistic of 2.717, and a p-value of 0.003.
