Abstract

The research conducted at PT Takagi Sari Multi Utama aims to determine the quality control in the production of Yamaha F8300 Motor Leg Shield products and the occurrence of reject products during the production process. The research method used in this study is the 7 QC (Quality Control) Tools and PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action). Data collection techniques were obtained through interviews with the Quality Control Manager and the Production Manager. It was found that the implementation of QC and PDCA in rejecting products, based on the production results in 2023, is still occurring and exceeding the standards set by the company. The types of rejects studied are Short Mold, Silver, and Bubble. The research results indicate that the reject rate of products can be reduced by improving the factors (Man, Method, Material, Machine, Environment) continuously and consistently. Furthermore, providing effective training to operators by the relevant department, enforcing discipline regarding work standards, and performing routine machine maintenance can help minimize defects and improve the quality of production in the company.
