Abstract

Sarah Nurul Izzati, NIM: 41182911170041, Thesis title "The Influence of the Probing-Prompting Method on the Learning Outcomes of Class VIII Ibnu Hajar Islamic Middle School Students on Islamic Education (PAI) Subjects". Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Tarbiyah Faculty. Supervisor Dr. Rabiyannur Lubis, M.M. This type of research is Pre-Experimental research which aims; to determine the effect of the probing-prompting method on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education for class VIII students at Ibnu Hajar Islamic Middle School, Bekasi City, academic year 2023/2024. Can the application of the probing-prompting method affect the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for class VIII students at Ibnu Hajar Islamic Middle School, Bekasi City, academic year 2023/2024? The population in this study were students at Ibnu Hajar Islamic Middle School, Bekasi City, academic year 2023/2024, the sample being class VIIIA with a total of 26 students. The results of the descriptive analysis before (pretest) being taught using the Probing-Prompting method showed that the highest score was 73 and the average learning outcome score was 61.9 with a standard deviation of 56.23. Meanwhile, the results of the descriptive analysis after (posttest) being taught using the Probing-Prompting method showed that the highest score was 97 and the average score for learning outcomes was 85.07, standard deviation 8.82, where, t count > t table = 14.09 > 3.450. Therefore, H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, thus the research hypothesis is "There is an influence on students PAI learning outcomes after being taught using the Probing-Prompting method in class VIII Ibnu Hajar Islamic Middle School, Bekasi City".
