Abstract
ABSTRACT Inclusive education is an important issue in the education system which aims to provide equal learning opportunities for all children, including those with special needs. This research aims to identify the obstacles, strategies and efforts made by school principals in improving the competence of class teachers and special assistant teachers at KB-TK Quantum Bekasi City in inclusive education. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods, data is collected through in-depth interviews and observation. The research results show that the main obstacle is the lack of relevant qualifications, with only 4 out of 10 teachers having a background in Early Childhood Education (PAUD). The strategies implemented by school principals include regular training and workshops, improving physical facilities, participating in government programs, preparing individual education plans, providing special teacher assistants, and providing necessary therapy services. Additional efforts to improve teacher competency include regular training programs and workshops, mentoring, access to online courses, and regular evaluation of teacher performance. This research emphasizes the importance of the active and innovative role of school principals in creating a quality inclusive learning environment. It is hoped that these findings will become a reference for other schools in developing similar strategies to improve inclusive education services.
