Abstract

This research is motivated by the rise of a phenomenon that occurs on campus related to a communication pattern that makes someone feel uncomfortable, resulting in an act of sexual harassment, namely catcalling. Catcalling sexual harassment experienced can cause changes in attitude, if observed the effect of catcalling sexual harassment can make survivors have an attitude of fear and avoid public places or public spaces. The purpose of the study was to determine whether catcalling messages affect the attitudes of students at Universitas Islam 45 Bekasi using descriptive quantitative methods. The sampling technique used is the probability sampling method which uses the Strata sample technique with a total of 99 respondents. The analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that catcalling messages (X) have a positive and significant influence on student attitudes at Universitas Islam 45 Bekasi (Y). This is evidenced by t-count 10.734> t-table 1.984 and t-count 6.414> t-table 1.984 with a significance of 0.000 and 0.000. Based on the results of the coefficient of determination, it shows that catcalling messages have an influence of 28,9% on the attitudes of students at Universitas Islam 45 Bekasi.
