Abstract
This research analyzes the representation of migrants and the concept of self and other through the Ms. Marvel series. In the series, the representation of migrants is related to issues in the United States. The purpose of this study is to provide an example of analyzing the representation of immigrants in America related to the concept of self and other. The approach used is Stuart Hall's representation theory and Edward Said's concept of self and other. By using the representation analysis method, data taken from the object of research in the form of images, words, phrases and clauses. The results of this study show that the Ms. Marvel series constructs the meaning of immigrant identity. The concept of self and other in this study is a cultural dynamic in the context of the post-colonial era.
