Abstract

This study aims to analyze literature related to the Open Ended Model in Improving Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Elementary School Students through a review of literature that is in accordance with the inclusion criteria, so that it can be used as a reference for new research. This research is motivated by the problem of low mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students found based on the findings of journal analysis that has been carried out. Many student scores that are still below the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria) show this, then there is still a lack of interest in learning mathematics of students, students are less actively involved in learning. Therefore, these problems can be overcome through the application of the Open Ended Model in Improving Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Elementary School Students. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The data obtained using data collection techniques are in the form of problem identification, data search, screening, extraction, and review. Inclusion indicators in this study include: research articles published in the last 5 years from 2018 to 2023, research articles using elementary school student subjects, research articles discussing the Open Ended learning model on Mathematics learning outcomes, and using data sources from journals. Based on the results of the research obtained, there are 4 articles using Classroom Action Research (PTK), 7 articles using Experiments, 1 article using Library Studies and 1 article using Quaternary Descriptive. Of the 13 articles that have been reviewed, the year that published the most articles was in 2020 with the highest percentage of 54%. And if you look at the article, the one who did the most research was in the high class, namely class V with a total percentage of 62%. The most widely used method in research based on the results of Literature Review is using the Experimental Research method which obtained a percentage of 54%. And all articles that have been reviewed 100% have experienced an improvement in the learning outcomes of Mathematics for elementary school students through the Open Ended learning model.
