Roheti. NPM 41182911170118. THE EFFECT OF THE SOROGAN METHOD ON THE ABILITY TO READ THE BOOK OF SAFINATUN NAJAH CLASS IX MTS AL MALIYAH SUKATANI. Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Islamic University "45" Bekasi, 1446 H / 2024 AD. Learning the yellow book or the classic book is not easy, as well as studying the book of safinatun najah in the subject of local content (mulok), and from the results of the author's interview with MTs Al-Maliyah students, where the ability to read the book of safinatun najah is still somewhat lacking. There are still many students who experience obstacles when reading the book of Safinatun Najah, because in reading this yellow book one must know the lines (sakal), know the meaning of reading the yellow book, and know the tarkib (language structure). This study uses a quantitative approach. This type of research uses an experimental method. The data collection technique in this study uses a test method. The data analysis techniques in this study used the Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, and Hypothesis Test. Based on the results that have been described, the Sorogan Method has an effect on the ability to read the Book of Safinatunajah because the results of the normality test in this study are 0.130 greater than 0.05. The results of the homogeneity test explained that the value of Sig. Based On Mean Test Of Homogeneity of Variances was 0.205 greater than 0.05. From the results of the hypothesis test, it is also explained that the t-value of 2.836 is greater than 1.6765 and the Sig. value is 0.007 lower from 0,05 The conclusion of this study is that the Sorogan Method has an effect on the ability to read the Book of Safinatunajah. The implementation of this sorogan method has a background and purpose so that students can easily read and understand the yellow book.
