Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of self-acceptance and social anxiety on loneliness in young women in Islamic boarding schools. This research is a quantitative research, with research subjects totaling 233 female students, female students, class II MTS (Madrasah Tsanawiyah) Daarul Mughni Al-Maaliki. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Loneliness has a Cronbach's Alpha reliability value of 0.768, self-acceptance 0.881, and social anxiety 0.877. Data analysis used the Spearman rank correlation test and simple linear regression test. The results of this research show a negative influence of self-acceptance on loneliness, then there is a positive influence of social anxiety on loneliness. The results of the simple linear regression test in this research show that self-acceptance has a significant influence on loneliness with a coefficient of determination value of 0.100, which means that self-acceptance has a 10% influence on loneliness and the remaining 90% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study, then anxiety Social anxiety has a significant influence on loneliness with a coefficient of determination value of 0.033, which means that social anxiety has a 3.3% influence on loneliness and the remaining 96.7% is influenced by other variables not examined in this research.
