Abstract
Vehicle users, both four-wheeled and other vehicles, always increase every year, so what is needed is not only additional parking zones but also must be balanced with capable technology in it. The aim of this research is to create a prototype for automatic parking monitoring of IoT-based parking slot availability using Arduino microcontroller and minimizes cars entering parking areas that are already full and maximizes Arduino microcontroller technology as a supporting tool in aspects of human activities. The performance of the Internet of Things-based automatic parking slot availability monitoring system has been successfully designed. This automatic parking area detector uses an Arduino Uno microcontroller as a data processor, while obtaining input data is obtained via an IR sensor. The sensor consists of an automatic door latch opening sensor and also a parking car detection sensor. The door latch sensor works when the sensor detects a car that is about to cross the door latch, then the input data obtained will then be processed and then sent in the form of instructions to the motorbike. servo to open and close the door latch in the parking area automatically. In this research, the object to be studied focuses on the display on the LCD screen and Bylink. To send data or information on the availability of parking slots, the component used is ESP8266. The average time for sending data from the sensor to be displayed on the LCD is 3,1 seconds. and the average time for sending data from the sensor to the Bylnk application is 6,1 seconds.
