Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that the ability to write descriptive essays of class IV students is still low, some students have difficulty putting ideas into written form, use sentences that are not understood and place punctuation errors when writing descriptive essays in Indonesian subjects. This research aims to determine the ability to write descriptive essays in Indonesian language subjects in class IV SDN Aren Jaya XVIII Bekasi City using the think talk write model. This research uses Nonequivalent (pre-test and post-test) Control Group Design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The sample used was class IV KH. Ahmad Dahlan as an experimental class and Class IV KI. Hadjar Dewantara as the control class. The research sample had 31 experimental class students and 30 control class students. The data collection technique uses a written test instrument of descriptive essay ability Based on the research results, the average score for the pre-test in theexperimental class was 69.83 and the post-test was 87.90, while the control classhad a pre-test of 71.16 and a post-test of 75.50. This means that for the experimental class this occurred. an increase of 18.07, while the control class experienced an increase of 4.34. The results of hypothesis testing using the t-test were obtained at (2.476 > 2.042) at a significance level of a = 0.05. Therefore t_count > t_table then H₀ is rejected and H_I is accepted. The results of the N-Gain test. The N-Gain test in the two classes shows that the experimental class N-gain test is 0.56, which is in the medium category. Meanwhile, the N-gain test control class of 0.32 is in the medium category. It can be concluded that looking at the average test results for the ability to write descriptive essays in class IV, there is an Influence Of The Think Talk Write (TTW) Model On The Ability To Write Descriptive Essays In Indonesian Language Subjects In Class IV Of SDN Aren Jaya XVIII, Bekasi City.
