Abstract

Fujoshi women have existed since ancient times until now, most of whom are dominant in the otaku community. Fujoshi women have the potential to form fujoshi attitudes without mature moral reasoning or high moral emotions of shame and guilt. This research aims to explore the relationship between moral reasoning and moral emotions on fujoshi attitudes in the otaku community. The research sample was 100 otaku or wibu from the otaku community in Bekasi. The measuring instruments used are the fujoshi attitude scale, Likert scale, DIT (Defening Issues Test), and the Likert scale moral emotion scale. Data analysis used the Spearman rank correlation test and multiple linear regression. Hypothesis testing using Spearman Rank correlation produced the following findings: in the first hypothesis, no significant relationship was found between moral reasoning and fujoshi attitudes (r= 0.108, p= 0.284 (> 0.05)). However, in the second hypothesis, a moderate and significant relationship was found between moral emotions and fujoshi attitudes (r= -0.603, p= 0.000 (< 0.05)). The third hypothesis was tested with multiple linear regression using SPSS version 26 for Windows, with the results showing that the independent variables moral reasoning and moral emotions simultaneously influenced the dependent variable fujoshi attitude with a value (t = 10.316, F = 0.000b (< 0.05) ) with the Determination Coefficient (R2 = 0.383) explains that the variables of moral reasoning and moral emotions simultaneously contribute to the influence on the fujoshi attitude variable by 38.3% while the other 61.7% is influenced by other variables not examined in this research.
