Abstract

This research is entitled Village Strategy in Empowering Tourism Awareness Groups (POKDAWIS) in the Kampoeng Kita Tourism Destination, Kertarahayu Village, Setu District, Bekasi Regency. The method used is a descriptive analysis research method using questionnaire instruments and interview guidelines. This research uses strategy theory as proposed by Mintzberg et al suggesting that strategies with similar analogies in other fields provide several important insights into the basic dimensions, nature and design of formal strategy (Year: 2003 p. 203), with 3 indicators, includes (a) Objectives; (b) Policy: and (c) Program. The overall results of this research are the indicators used, showing a figure of 78.2% (good category (between 69-80%), according to Idrus (2009:36) the category is good. In detail, they include: (a) on policy indicators related to The Village Strategy in developing tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis) in the Kampoeng Kita Tourism destination, Kertarahayu Village, Setu District, Bekasi Regency, received a percentage score of 84.7%, including the very good category (between 81-100%) showing a figure of 78.2% (good category ( between 69-80%); (b) on objective indicators related to the Village Strategy in developing tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis) in the Kampoeng Kita Tourism destination, Kertarahayu Village, Setu District, Bekasi Regency, received a percentage score of 80.5%, including the good category (between 69 -80%). The destination indicator shows a figure of 78.2% (good category (between 69-80%); and (c) on program indicators related to the Village Strategy in Empowering Tourism Awareness Groups (Pokdarwis) in the Kampoeng Kita Village Tourism Destination. Kertarahayu, Setu District, Bekasi Regency received a percentage score of 72.9%, including the good category (between 69-80%). Obstacles in this research include the following: 1). Inadequate human resources, 2). The coordination pattern between tourist destination managers and the government is not yet optimal, 3). Development of Village government innovation with the Kampoeng Kita Tourism destination which needs to be improved. The next strategy for overcoming obstacles is as follows: 1). To improve skills/abilities in managing our Kampoeng tourist destination, it is necessary to carry out training, technical training, involvement of communities around the village, 2). There is increased coordination from both the tourism office and village officials by creating a WhatsApp group for the management of our Kampoeng tourist destination, 3). Village government innovation (Website, Application and Instagram).
