Achlif Nizamy Adha. 41182911190088. Implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum in PAI Learning in Improving Student Communication Skills at SMAN 9 Bekasi. Islamic education study program. Islamic University 45 Bekasi. 2023 M/1445 H. The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of PAI learning based on the independent learning curriculum at SMAN 9 Bekasi, determine the improvement in students' communication skills after implementing the independent learning curriculum at SMAN 9 Bekasi and describe the factors inhibiting students' communication skills in PAI learning at SMAN 9 Bekasi. Based on data in the field, class X-9 students at SMAN 9 Bekasi have low communication skills in PAI learning. Therefore, it is necessary to take action to improve students' communication skills in PAI learning. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive research type. The subjects in this research were Deputy Head of Curriculum, Grade 10 PAI Teachers and Students. This data collection technique uses observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, as well as drawing conclusions and verification. The findings from this research indicate that the implementation of PAI learning based on the independent learning curriculum at SMAN 9 Bekasi is in accordance with the stages of the independent learning curriculum concept. There was an increase in students' communication skills by 18,6%. Apart from that, there are two factors that hinder students' communication skills in PAI learning, namely students' lack of self-confidence and ecological barriers.
