Abstract

In the 2019 election, there were administrative and code of conduct violations by the KDP and PPS as well as violations that were increasingly repeated every general election, especially in the process of updating voter data. This study aims to determine and describe the strategy carried out by the Bekasi City KPU in updating voter data. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used in this study was a mendala interview and documentation. This research uses Koteen's theory (Salusu, 1996: 104-105) as an analytical knife in problem solving, the types of strategies are organizational strategy, program strategy, literacy strategy and resource strategy. The results of the research found are that the organizational strategy is appropriate because Technical Guidance (Bimtek) and Socialization are able to empower KDP, PPS and KPPS so as not to commit violations. The Program Strategy is right but has not received the right results maximum, because there are still violations. The strategy to support resources is appropriate in supporting the performance of organizers so as not to create violations and institutional strategies are appropriate because they can help the lack of ability of organizers to translate the 2024 election regulations. The lack of integrity of organizers in recruitment is still dilemmatic From the accuracy of the data update officer, it can produce accurate data validity. Of the four strategies, the most dominant organizational strategy is because it is able to provide knowledge and can empower KDP, PPS and KPPS in the process of updating voter data in the 2024 election and the weakest program strategy because the results obtained depend on the implementation of organizational strategy.
