Abstract

Polly pig is a pipe cleaner made from polyurethane. These pigs can travel through pipes with the help of liquid or gas, and can carry out tasks such as product cleaning. The aim of this research is to be able to determine the effect of temperature on the visual results of polly pigs and to be able to determine the effect of temperature on the density results and hardness values of polly pigs. From the results, temperatures of 60° C, 70° C and 80° C when the polly pig is in the oven can affect the density value, where at a temperature of 60° C the density value is 80.745 kg/m3. Meanwhile, at a temperature of 70° C it has a density value of 87.804 kg/m3 and at a temperature of 80° C it has a density value of 93.725 kg/m3. In the results of research using a durometer, there are differences in the hardness value of each specimen, where the top part has a hardness value of 63.66 Ha, then the middle part has a hardness value of 62 Ha and the bottom part has a hardness value of 60.66 Ha.
