Abstract

Human resources (HR) are one of the basic capital of an organization which is very important in achieving organizational goals, so that the success of achieving an organization's goals is largely determined by the quality of these human resources. The failure of an organization in achieving organizational goals is not solely caused by a lack of knowledge or a lack of human resource skills in the organization but is mainly caused by a lack of ability to collaborate between individuals in the organization and low team cohesiveness. This research method uses an experimental method, the design that will be used in this research is Randomized Design. The subjects in this research are adults aged 20-24 years who have medium and low team cohesiveness categories. The number of respondents was 30 people who were divided into 2 groups, the first group was the group that received training treatment with a total of 15 subjects, and the second group was the control group or the group that did not receive treatment with a total of 15 subjects. The pretest and posttest answered the team cohesiveness scale which consists of 35 items, with a total r score on Cornbach's Alpha of 0.950, which means it is reliable. Based on the results obtained from the independent sample t-test in the experimental group, the mean value was 107.00 and the mean value for the control group was 84.47, which was obtained at t= 6.731, p= 0.000 (p=0.05). So it can be concluded that the results obtained by the experimental group and the control group were different. The results of the Paired T-Test test on the experimental group before and after being given team building training obtained N=15, t value= -4.692, and the result p= 0.000 (p=0.005), so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the level of team cohesiveness. before and after training was given to the experimental group.
