Abstract

"Parents' motivation for the development of PB.Omeko athletes' achievements under the guidance of Badminton Club (PB.OBBC)" Thesis Department of Physical Education, Health and Recreation. Islamic University "45" Bekasi. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of PB.Omeko fostered badminton club athletes' achievements through motivation from parents. This type of research uses a questionnaire or qualitative descriptive, the sampling technique uses purposive sampling with a sample of 25 parents of athletes, from the initial 20 statements after the trial, only 11 statements are declared valid, because the value of r count> r table is 0.643-0.081 while reliability test using the croncbach alpha test with the conclusion croncbach alpha > 0.6. The result of the reliable test is 0.864, which means that the data > 0.6 is declared reliable. Data analysis using SPSS 27 population results from the 11 statements namely, 92% of parents support the achievements of badminton athletes to have a good future and 100% of parents agree that by participating in badminton training children can control themselves to be more responsible, besides that people parents stated or agreed 100% to involve their children to actively participate in badminton training to avoid promiscuity such as fights, there were 65% of parents providing support that having badminton athlete achievements could create jobs, and as many as 80% of parents also supported and participated involve their children in the world of sports because of the fascination of seeing skills in a competition
