Abstract

The background of this research is that the students' learning outcomes in writing poetry are still low because learning to write poetry is often considered difficult by students. Students are less interested and feel bored with the learning techniques used by the teacher and are not maximal in implementing the plans that have been designed. In this study aims to provide an overview of the acrostic technique in the ability to write poetry in elementary school students. The research method used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) from journals originating from the Google Scholar and Garuda database according to the inclusion criteria, namely the x and y variables (acrostic techniques and the ability to write poetry), research journals published in the last 10 years (2013-2023 ),. The results and discussion of the acrostic technique on students' poetry writing results in elementary school, without using media and media assistance, there are similarities and learning steps but the learning outcomes are more significant using media assistance. For further researchers, if you want to use the acrostic technique, it is recommended to use assisted media. Assessment of learning outcomes using assisted media is seen from the achievement of indicators so that the teacher can find out the extent to which students understand the material. Because by using media-assisted students it is easier to understand learning material in acrostic techniques where this acrostic technique is student-centered.
