Abstract

Abstract The writing of this thesis starts from the problem of the Performance of the Office of Manpower in the City of Bekasi, with the title "Performance of the Office of Manpower of the City of Bekasi in the Distribution of Labor". This is a thesis from the Government Science study program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, "45" Bekasi Islamic University. The problem is that employment is a very crucial issue. Because by working people can earn income as well as social status. Conversely, people who are unemployed do not earn income and social status. Therefore, in overcoming unemployment, it requires further attention and government intervention for the welfare of the community. The purpose of this research is to find out the implementation of the functions of the Department of Manpower in distributing labor in the city of Bekasi and to identify what are the factors that support the Office of Manpower in distributing labor in the city of Bekasi. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study research method. Qualitative thinking is research that is descriptive in nature and relies on data analysis with an inductive approach. The results of this study indicate that the performance of the labor service in distributing manpower at the Bekasi City Manpower Office is quite good, it's just that it is still not optimal due to the lack of several human resources who are specialists in the fields of work needed, incomplete communication between staff and job seekers resulting in discrepancies, and job seekers' lack of understanding of the functions of the Office of Manpower in distributing labor. And there are factors that support the labor department in Bekasi City, one of which is maximizing support from the Bekasi City Government to increase employee competence and create human resources who are able to innovate and be professional in their fields.
