Abstract
Based on the analysis of various journal articles, problems were found in the low skill of writing descriptive essays. This was indicated by the fact that there were still many students who did not meet the indicators in writing descriptive essays, namely observing the object to be described, mentioning the characteristics of the object, determining the theme, placing the contents of the paragraph correctly. , adjusting the content with the title, using sentences appropriately, using proper spelling and neatness. These problems are caused by the large number of students who still have difficulty writing descriptive essays, the use of less varied learning methods, lack of student interest in writing, lack of facilities to support learning, and learning tools that are less innovative. This study aims to examine the application of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model to the skills of writing descriptive essays for high school elementary school students in the Indonesian subject. The method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by analyzing the results of research that has been published nationally related to the use of the Think Talk Write (TTW) model for students' descriptive essay writing skills. The sample analysis is 9 journal articles that have been published in the 2012-2022 range, from the nine journal articles the researcher analyzed from various aspects, namely: 1) Based on the methodology used, 2) Based on the journal area, 3) Based on the year the journal article was published, 4) Based on descriptive essay writing skill indicators, 5) Application of the Media-assisted and non-media-assisted Think Talk Write (TTW) Model. Based on the results of the analysis of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model, it is proven to be able to improve Indonesian language description writing skills. In each journal article analyzed there are differences in the results on the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model but overall this study shows the conclusion that the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model can improve Indonesian language descriptive essay writing skills and can be recommended for teachers in using the model. classroom learning in the form of media or LKS
