Abstract

The research objective is to determine the efficiency of services at CV Naga Pasar Swalayan Pondok Ungu. The research method used by the author is qualitative descriptive analysis using Queuing Theory as a work system analysis tool. The results of the analysis based on observations obtained by calculating 3 cashiers are known Ls value = 15.07, Ws value = 0.22, Lq value = 12.27 Wq value = 0.18. The calculation results after adding one cashier, Ls value = 3.8, Ws value = 0.05, Lq value = 1 and Wq value = 0.01. The results of the total cost calculation with 3 cashiers amounted to Rp 9,366.5 with details of Cs of Rp 3,362.5 and Cw of Rp 6,004. Then the calculation results if there is an increase in the number of cashiers the calculation results of the Total Cost (Ct) amounted to Rp 5,847.9 with details of Cs of Rp 4,483.3 and Cw of Rp 1,364.6. With the addition of the number of cashiers, the time experienced by customers to queue in the system is 0.05 hours or 3.26 minutes. Whereas with the condition of 3 cashiers, the average time experienced by customers queuing in the system is 12.92 minutes. There is a difference of 9.66 minutes in the time customers queue in the system. The total cost with 3 cashiers of Rp 9,366.5 is greater than adding one cashier the total cost incurred is Rp 5,847.9. And from the fishbone diagram analysis, the main contributing factor to the queue is the lack of cashiers and cashier skills or skills in providing services.
