Abstract

ABSTRACT In this study, students tried to use microstrip antenna array as recipient Wi-fi at a frequency of 24.25 GHz – 27.50 GHz at a working frequency of 26 GHz. The antenna design has a shape patch triangles and circles with 2 x 1 linear arrays. Microstrip antenna using substrate FR4 Epoxy series double side with a dielectric constant of 4.4 and thickness substrate 1.6 mm and the thickness of the copper layer is 0.035 mm with the technique of supplying the proximity couple feed. Results Return loss which is produced meets the standard <10 dB and Value VSWR standard is < 2, At a working frequency of 26 GHz after being tested using software Ansys HFFS, score return loss -18.5367 dB and VSWR of 1.2685. Furthermore, the antenna that has been manufactured will be measured using Vector Network Analyzer at the Laboratory of the Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN), Bandung. However, return loss generated does not meet the standard because it is >10 dB with VSWR antenna > 2 at a working frequency of 26 GHz, where the resulting value return loss -5.3421 dB and VSWR of 3,354. Antenna impedance at working frequency is 15.29 Ohm. Internet speed Wi-fi viewed using the Speedtest by Ookla application. Although the results of the antenna parameters after being measured using Vector Network Analyzer less well however, at the antenna implementation stage USB Wirelles 802.11N microstrip antenna installed can catch the 5G internet signal better with parameter values Ping 12 ms, Download Mbps, and Upload 21.24 Mbps , results USB Wirelles 802.11N without a microstrip antenna has a parameter value Ping 15 ms, Download 40.58 Mbps, and Upload 34.53 Mbps.
