Abstract

ABSTRACT Islamic University "45" Bekasi Communication Studies Program Faculty of Communication, Literature, and Language 2022 Faris Farhan Noeriski / 41182037150066 "The Influence of Najwa's Eyes Show on Najwa Shihab's Youtube Channel on Fulfilling Student Information Needs" (Case Study of Islamic University Students "45" Bekasi) Under the guidance of Hamluddin, M.Si. (105 pages, 17 tables, 32 charts, 3 pictures, 5 attachments) Mata Najwa is a program with a talk show concept that has been around for a long time to accompany its audience. This event is also in demand by various groups, one of which is students. By seeing that there is such a relationship between Mata Najwa and students, that is the main basis for doing this research. The purpose of this study was to deter mine whether there was an influence between Mata Najwa's impressions on Najwa Shihab's Youtube channel in meeting the Information Needs of Islamic Students "45" Bekasi. This research method is descriptive correlation and uses a quantitative approach. The sample of this research is the students of Islamic University "45" Bekasi who watch Mata Najwa through Youtube. The sample selected as many as 98 respondents, and selected by the technique of Probability Sampling, Stratified Sampling. Interviews and the use of questionnaires are two methods of data collection. Validity and Reliability Tests in this study used Pearson Product Moment and Cronbach Alpha. The analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 26.0. The results of this study indicate that Mata Najwa (X) has a significant effect of 9% in meeting the information needs of students (Y). The remaining 91% is influenced by factors other than (Mata Najwa Impressions) which were not examined in this study. Mata Najwa impressions have a significant influence in meeting the information needs of students, increasing by 0.359 in every increase in Najwa Eye Impressions. Although the results of this study support the existing theory, there are still differences in the results of research with previous researchers on the variable of meeting information needs. Therefore, future researchers should also add other variables that have not been listed in this study because there are still other factors that influence each other.
