Abstract
IMPLEMENTASI UNDANG–UNDANG NO 8 TAHUN 1999 TENTANG PERLINDUNGAN KONSUMEN DI BANK CENTRAL ASIA KANTOR CABANG PEMBANTU CIKARANG Lydya Verra Novianti Bekasi "45" Islamic University lydyanovianti@gmail.com ABSTRACT Banks are financial institutions that conduct business activities by attracting funds directly from the public, so in implementing the principles of bank management, namely the existence of the principle of trust between customers. With these conditions the bank is an institution that relies heavily on public trust. In order to continue referring to the law that regulates namely Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. Consumer protection for bank customers so that as the consumer has the right and obligation to make complaints and get a sense of security and justice. In order for businesses and consumers to obey the law and obtain justice in the implementation of consumer protection in accordance with Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the Implementation of Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection in the Central Bank of the Cikarang Sub-Branch Office and analyze the role of the government in protecting the law of consumers in the Central Bank of the Cikarang Sub-Branch Office. The method used in this thesis research is a qualitative method. through participant observation of the research location at Bank Central Asia Cikarang Sub-Branch Office, as well as conducting in-depth interviews with the speakers with purposive sampling technique. This sample consists of various sources in this study, namely a number of staff employees and some customers who come to transact at the Central Bank of the Cikarang Sub-Branch Office, as well as with library studies conducted through books relating to thesis writing, information from from speakers and articles. The results showed that the Bank Central Asia Cikarang Sub-Branch Office has implemented applications in accordance with consumer protection according to Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection by way of responsible business actors, establishing a sense of trust between business actors and consumers and obtaining their rights in a manner true and appropriate.
