Abstract
ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the many shortcomings in the process of building permit (IMB) service in the North Bekasi Government. Those problems areallegedly caused by the lack of Good Governance Principles implementation in the Government of North Bekasi particulary in Building Permit (IMB) services. In general, this research aims to determine the extent of the Good Governance Principles implementation and which factors affect the of the Good Governance Principles implementation in the service of making Building Permits (IMB) in the North Bekasi Government. This research appliesdescriptive qualitative methods. The data gathered are from interviews, observation and documents. The results of the research indicate that the North Bekasi Government in the service of Building Permit (IMB) has begun to implement the Good Governance Principle, although there are still obstacles that shall be improved, namely the lack of socialization to the public regarding making a Building Permit (IMB) due to the lack of supporting information media and the indesicive North Bekasi Government apparatus in giving sanctions to the individuals who did not admit a Building Permit (IMB). Meanwhile, the efficiency and effectiveness of Building Permit (IMB) services has been carried out well and in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) such as strict sanctions for people who have not admitted Building Permit (IMB), quick response in Building Permit services.
