Abstract

Public transportation plays an important role in supporting community mobility in Bekasi City. One of the public transportation services operating in the city is the Trans Patriot Bus, which was developed by the Bekasi City Government to provide a safe, comfortable, modern, and affordable mode of transportation. This study aims to analyze the operational performance of the Trans Patriot Bus based on the indicators of load factor and headway as the basis for evaluating its level of service. The results indicate that the average load factor on holidays was 14.545% (07:00–09:00 WIB), 24.621% (11:00–13:00 WIB), and 17.348% (15:00–17:00 WIB). On weekdays, the average load factor reached 44.96% (07:00–09:00 WIB), 23.33% (11:00–13:00 WIB), and 23.82% (15:00–17:00 WIB). All load factor values remained below the maximum threshold of 70% established by the operational performance standards, indicating that the bus capacity has not yet been utilized optimally. The headway analysis showed that the shortest average headway occurred during the 07:00–09:00 WIB period, at 11 minutes and 11 seconds, while the longest average headway occurred during the 15:00–17:00 WIB period, at 13 minutes and 6 seconds. These values still comply with the operational standard of 10–20 minutes. Based on the findings, the operational performance of the Trans Patriot Bus in terms of load factor and headway has met the established standards. However, the level of service can still be improved through increasing passenger demand and optimizing fleet capacity utilization.
