Abstract

This study aims to re-examine the effect of profitability, solvency, and good corporate governance on the implementation of green banking in Islamic banking during the period 2021 – 2024. The research employs panel data regression analysis with secondary data obtained from the annual financial statements and sustainability reports of Islamic banks registered with the Financial Services Authority. The results indicate that profitability, measured by Return on Assets (ROA), has a positive and significant effect on the implementation of green banking, while solvency, measured by the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), has a negative and significant effect. Meanwhile, good corporate governance, proxied by the size of the board of commissioners and institutional ownership, does not have a significant effect on the implementation of green banking.
