Abstract

The growth of the agroindustry sector in Indonesia encourages the processing of agricultural products into value-added products, one of which is tempeh, which is a superior local food. Rumah Tempe Indonesia as a pioneer in the production of hygienic tempeh based on Non GMO and GMO soybeans faces the challenges of raw material price fluctuations and income instability. This study aims to identify production costs, analyze income, and evaluate the financial feasibility of the fresh tempeh production business "Tempekita" in RTI. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation, with analysis techniques including cost identification (fixed and variable), income analysis, and financial analysis. The results of the study indicate that the Tempekita production business is economically feasible, with an R-C Ratio value of 1,47. BEP analysis consists of BEP Revenue of IDR928.146.634,00 BEP Production of 60.876 pcs and BEP Price of IDR6.916,00. In addition, the Payback Period was recorded at 0,97 years, which means that the capital can be returned in less than one year. Overall, the fresh tempeh production business ‘Tempekita’ is considered financially feasible and has the potential to be developed further. Keywords: agroindustry, hygienic tempeh, business analysis
