Abstract
ABSTRACT HUDZAIFAH AKMAL FADILAH. 41182911200084. IMPLEMENTATION OF PAI TEACHERS IN USING THE INDEPENDENT CURRICULUM IN GRADE VII AT SMPN 04 TAMBUN UTARA. Islamic Religious Education, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Islamic University 45 Bekasi, (1447/2025). (80 Pages + 25 Pages). This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in using the Independent Curriculum at SMP Negeri 04 Tambun Utara, Bekasi Regency. The study focuses on how PAI teachers plan, implement, and evaluate learning based on Learning Outcomes (CP) and how supporting and inhibiting factors influence the effectiveness of its implementation. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of PAI teachers, the principal, and grade 7 students. The research results indicate that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers have attempted to implement the principles of Kurikulum Merdeka (Freedom to Learn) by adapting teaching materials based on student characteristics and utilizing project-based learning models and digital media. Teachers act as facilitators, encouraging student engagement through presentations, group discussions, and thematic paper assignments nuanced by Islamic values such as honesty and trustworthiness. However, limited resources, such as infocus devices, and limited training in developing authentic assessments are major obstacles to learning implementation. Furthermore, the study found that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SMPN 04 Tambun Utara has increased student motivation, participation, and religious character, although it has not yet fully optimized the measurement of affective and psychomotor domains. Collaboration between teachers, principals, and parents is a crucial factor in maintaining the sustainability of this program. Based on these findings, it is recommended that curriculum training focus on strengthening differential assessment and integrating the values of the Pancasila Student Profile into the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. Thus, this research provides an empirical contribution to the development of an implementation model for the Independent Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and enriches the literature on Islamic education policies that adapt to changes in the national curriculum.
